Learn To Fly

Less than seven percent of pilots in world are women -- why is this?

Most believe that a lack of female aviation role models and a lack of  STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) initiatives geared towards female students has hindered efforts to grow the female pilot population.

The Sugarloaf 99s is here to help close that gap and provide the support needed to be successful in an aviation career or hobby.

Meet Your Role Models - The support of other women pilots who can provide the critical mentoring and networking that is unique to the Ninety-Nines, along with financial assistance via scholarships available only to our membership, is the most successful way to learn to fly.

Join Us at one of our monthly meeting or visit us during one of our many events we hold at Frederick Municipal Airport to explore your options.

Start Your Flight Training or take an introductory flight to see what its all about.

Several of our chapter members are student pilots with or take advanced flight training from Sugarloaf chapter member Brenda Tibbs, owner of Bravo Flight Training on the field at Frederick Municipal Airport. Contact Brenda today to schedule your first lesson!

Chapter members also teach and fly with Frederick Flight Center, which is also located on the field at Frederick Municipal Airport.
