Christmas at the Airport

 It's been a few years and we are finally bringing back Christmas at the Airport!  UPDATE 11/30/23: All reservations are FULL - slots to visit with Santa on the day of the event will only be available if there are no-shows. Other activities do not require a reservation, including touring Yukon Sourdough, a 1942 DC3. Please note that Santa's arrival and departure via airplane and tours of the DC3 are subject to favorable weather conditions. Santa Claus is coming to the Frederick Airport! Join us for a day of educational activities and let Father Christmas know what is on your list this year! ***Registration is required to visit Santa.  A $5 donation PER FAMILY (non-refundable) goes towards the Sugarloaf 99s Aviation Scholarship. Congratulations to Leah Murphy - 2023 Sugarloaf Scholarship Winner!

 Congrats to Maryland Chapter Member Leah Murphy, who earned her Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate on July 19, 2023! Leah was able to complete this training thanks to the scholarship provided to her by the Sugarloaf Chapter. Leah will continue to pursue her certificates and ratings towards her goal of flying for a living.

2023 SUGARLOAF 99S SCHOLARSHIP WINDOW IS NOW CLOSED!

  APPLICATION WINDOW IS APRIL 15, 2023 TO MAY 31, 2023 (now closed) $4,500 – The Sugarloaf Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is offering a minimum of two scholarships to a maximum of three scholarships with a total value of $4,500. The minimum amount per scholarship is $1,500. These scholarships are awarded in honor the “small but mighty” Sugarloaf 99’s chapter, who provides inspiration and support to fellow aviatrix of our chapter and section to help them pursue their aviation related goals. Funds may be used for any phase of flight training (initial pilot through ATP including instrument, instructor, or other ratings), checkride fees, written exam fees, academic work related to aviation, air racing, charity flying, or any other reasonable flying-related activity. Eligible applicants include students or full members of the Mid-Atlantic Region of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. that have been a member of International and the Section for at least 180 days by the application deadline date. Addit
