The Mountaineer 99s, assisted by the Sugarloaf 99s, are excited to be hosting the Mid-Atlantic Spring Section Meeting at Eastern WV Regional Airport / Shepherd Field (KMRB) in wild and wonderful Martinsburg, West Virginia. Home of the Air National Guard 167th Airlift Wing , the airport boasts an 8815' x 175' runway, two flight schools, corporate and charter operations, an aviation museum and library, and a wonderful restaurant with views of the airport. Our meeting will be held at the West Complex at 226 Pilot Way; Martinsburg, WV 25405. Registration: Please register using our Sugarloaf Store Link. It's been a few years and we are finally bringing back Christmas at the Airport! UPDATE 11/30/23: All reservations are FULL - slots to visit with Santa on the day of the event will only be available if there are no-shows. Other activities do not require a reservation, including touring Yukon Sourdough, a 1942 DC3. APPLICATION WINDOW IS OPEN JULY 15, 2021 TO SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 The Sugarloaf Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is offering a minimum of three scholarships to a maximum of six scholarships with a total value of $4,500. The maximum amount per scholarship is $1,500. These scholarships are awarded in honor the “small but mighty” Sugarloaf 99’s chapter, who provides inspiration and support to fellow aviatrix of our chapter and section to help them pursue their aviation related goals. Funds may be used for any phase of flight training (initial pilot through ATP including instrument, instructor, or other ratings), checkride fees, written exam fees, academic work related to aviation, air racing, charity flying, or any other reasonable flying related activity.
